The Tatacoa Desert, located in northern Huila, is recognized as the first Colombian destination to receive the international Starlight certification, awarded to ideal locations for astronomical observation. This natural setting offers clear skies free of light pollution, allowing for privileged views of the firmament. On our tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Victoria Stars Observatory, one of the most prominent in the region, where you can participate in a talk about constellations and celestial legends, and observe the mysteries of the universe through state-of-the-art telescopes.

We'll embark on a unique experience from Villavieja, departing at 6:40 p.m. on a short 10-minute journey into the heart of the Tatacoa Desert. There, in one of Colombia's most prominent destinations for astronomical observation, we'll visit the Tatacoa Desert Astronomical Observatory.
During an interactive talk led by an expert astronomer, we'll explore Greek mythology, cosmology, and celestial mapping. We'll also have the opportunity to observe the starry sky through telescopes, identifying stars, planets, and galaxies.
