Day 1: Salento
We begin this adventure from your arrival at the airport and we will transfer to Salento, in the afternoon we will begin the tour from Salento, visiting a traditional Coffee Farm, where we will delve into the daily work of a farmer. First we will tour the coffee crops where we visit the seedbed to learn about the planting process and its maintenance, then we will do the coffee drying and threshing process and at the end of our tour they will teach us how to prepare a cup of coffee.
Day 2: Cocora Valley
Around 8:00 am we will meet other passengers in Salento to embark on a 23 kilometer journey towards The Empire of the Wax Palm. On this trip we will cross the central mountain range of the Andes where we will observe incredible landscapes and the peaks of Nevado del Tolima and Paramillo del Quindío. We will arrive at Los Bosques de Palma de Cera where we will take a 2 km walk to learn about the importance of its life cycle and conservation of the Palma de Cera. After the walk we will take the Jeep to return to the department of Quindío, where we will have a typical lunch of the region on a peasant farm. For the return you can choose a 14 km walk to Salento or return by Jeep.
Day 3: Finland
We will begin our trip at 7:00 am. towards the Barbas Bremen Reserve, where we will have our breakfast, then while we do our approximately 3-hour tour they will give us a talk about the reserve and how they have preserved the fauna and flora in this protected area; We will be able to observe beautiful birds and see the howler monkey. We will return to the house to have lunch. In the afternoon we will move to the Main Park and walk along the Street of “Stopped Time”, we will visit craft stores and the basket and vine interpretation center.
Day 4
On this last day of adventure, freely enjoy the Coffee Region.
